The Italian walled garden was designed for the Bond family by Oglesby Paul in 1907. The Garden was designed in cruciform style and included a fountain.
The Taylor family added the Yellin gate in approximately 1923. It was designed by Samuel Yellin, noted Philadelphia iron worker. In 1995, the college began a campaign to restore the garden.
