Narrative:
Edward Waters College is the oldest institution of higher learning in Florida. The B.F. Lee Building has served as a Theological Seminary and has hosted gospel concerts by Shirley Caesar, and political candidates Jeb Bush, Corrine Brown, Jesse L. Jackson and Shirley Chisholm.

The Centennial was used as a high school and elementary school in conjunction with a wood frame building that no longer stands.
