Narrative:
Edward Waters College is the oldest institution of higher learning in Florida. The B.F. Lee Building has served as a Theological Seminary and has hosted gospel concerts by Shirley Caesar, and events for political candidates Jeb Bush, Corrine Brown, Jesse L. Jackson and Shirley Chisholm.

The Centennial was originally used as a high school and elementary school in conjunction with a wood frame building that no longer stands.
