Narrative:
The 2002/2003 academic year marked the college's 200th anniversary, as well as the anniversary of college founder Mary Frances Clarke's birth. To honor her and the heritage of the College, this monument was constructed and was dedicated November 1, 2002 (the anniversary of the origin of the BVM congregation of women religious). The cornerstone it contains is from the original campus building erected under the leadership of Mother Clarke.
