Narrative:
With the creation of the Keith J. O'Neill Center for Healthy Families, Marywood University has undertaken an innovative approach to health and wellness for families and women. The Center answers a national need for highly trained nutritionists and dieticians. At the same time, it addresses a pressing need in the local community to provide clinical and educational programs.

For decades, the health industry, particularly in Northeastern Pennsylvania, has recognized Marywood University as a provider of quality, health-related educational programs and career preparation. As the health industry evolves, Marywood continues to keep pace in a state of the art facility that ensures its programs meet the challenges of the new health care environment.

The Keith J. O'Neill Center for Healthy Families is a model facility that integrates the academic programs, community outreach, and research elements of a regional university with the provision of healthcare services in a non-hospital setting. Unprecedented in its scope and ambition, the Center holds promise for moving the University into a new era and providing Marywood with regional and national distinction.
