Narrative: The original college research library was four different levels: the staff office, main floor, lower level, and upper gallery. Two exterior walls of the current structure contain over eighty-five stained glass representations of members of the Franciscan family who made notable contributions in such areas as religion, education, science, and world affairs. John Kennedy and Pope Paul VI, though not Franciscan, were included because their works marked them as possessing a Franciscan spirit. Four notable windows designed, lettered, and illuminated by Sister Michaeline Lesiak highlight quotations from scripture, the works of Shakespeare, John Kennedy, and Mother Adelaide.
